Description:
If you want to make your Damascus Dreams come true, first you’re going to have to snag a bottle of this stellar Stout. To create it, Gabe and his team blended three different beers, each of them already exceptional on its own:
1) A double oaked version of their beloved A Deal With the Devil aged a total of 31 months in Bernheim original wheat whiskey, Hemingway rye whiskey, and Sazerac rye whiskey barrels
2) A double oaked Double Dark Ale aged for 35 months in Willett rye whiskey and Calumet Farms bourbon barrels
3) A BA Belgian Quad aged 35 months in Calumet Farms bourbon barrels
Then they conditioned the blend on organic cacao nibs from Ghana to amp up the fudgy vibes.
We haven’t tried it yet, but we’re expecting massive chocolate notes and intense barrel character — look for nuances of caramel dripping over hints of rye spice with whispers of oak and estery yeasts adding complexity. And like so many massive Anchorage beers, we’re anticipating a dangerously smooth finish at 18.34% ABV.
