It’s no secret we love Evil Twin NYC’s The Great Northern Barrel Aged Series here at Tavour.
So when we saw they were releasing a new vintage in collaboration with the legends at Side Project, we jumped on it as soon as we possibly could!
For the 55th addition of this storied series, they blended a Side Project Barleywine aged in 4-year Willet bourbon barrels and an Evil Twin Barleywine aged 46 months in BLiS maple syrup bourbon barrels.
We’re expecting rich notes of candied fig and caramel to flow through every sip, with ribbons of brown sugar and maple adding to the decadence. All that time in oak should translate to sublime layers of vanilla-oak and top shelf spirits that linger long after the smooth finish, leaving barely any trace of the 15.6% ABV.
