Each year, Garden Path Fermentation uses their coolship to capture native yeasts and microfauna, creating beers that encapsulate the flavors of Washington’s Skagit Valley.
And to celebrate their anniversary, they set out to blend a beer that reflects all those flavors over more than half a decade!
To make it, they combined Wild Ales from each of their first five years, each of them barrel aged for even more complexity. Upon bottling, they inoculated the blend with a fresh Ale from their sixth year to create natural, sparkling carbonation.
Take a sip, and you’ll find tangy lemon zest notes bolstered by hints of green grass, underripe nectarine, and dried apricot nuances. Whispers of oak and turned earth meander in the background on the way to a dry finish with lingering acidity.
