When the folks at Eater named Holy Mountain one of Seattle’s best breweries, they specifically called out this White Lodge Wit as “a great introduction for the indecisive!” It’s even HM’s most popular beer on Untappd!
Last time we got our hands on a stash, you all called it “such an amazing beer,” a “perfect blend of citrus and spice,” and “possibly the best Wit I’ve tried!” So of COURSE we had to bring it back.
This beauty is an ode to the classic style. First, the team creates a fluffy base from a large portion of wheat merged with Pilsner malt and oats. They add coriander and orange peel in the kettle, evoking a blend of fruit and floral notes, then ferment it all with a traditional Belgian strain of yeast.
Each sip is smooth and dry, delivering citrusy herbaceousness up front followed by a toasted biscuit flourish. It finishes crisp and refreshing with a final whirl of earth and spice.
