This 2026 vintage of Permanent Homes might be too new for scores, but HOMES’ series of Goosebumps-themed Halloween Stouts boast an average 4.49 rating on Untappd! And this Twix inspired variant sounds like one of the most delicious yet!
To craft The Rarewolf of Froth Swamp, Michigan’s malt monsters started with a rich base aged in bourbon barrels. Then they conditioned it on a frightening amount of shortbread cookies, caramel, Dutch cocoa, and Madagascar vanilla beans, soaking it in all the flavors of your favorite candy bar. And the brewers dipped the bottle in glow-in-the-dark wax for real thrills and chills!
Anticipate inviting caramel mocha and Rolo aromas haunting the air with every thick, velvety pour. The taste should follow, with luxurious currents of silky chocolate and gooey caramel creeping into sweet cookie tones. Nuances of espresso, whiskey-kissed toffee, and vanilla oak should bring an adult sophistication liable to leave you howling for more. Careful though, or the untraceable 14.5% ABV lurking in these dark depths might just sneak up and get you!
