The comedy-metal band Psychostick is “serious about being dumb” AND serious about beer — their breakout song is even a booze-addled ode to the stuff! So, when one of Old Irving’s bartenders met the guys while touring with his own band, the wheels started turning.
Obey The Beer is the outgrowth of their collaboration, named after the band’s facial hair headbanger, Obey The Beard. And it’s launching just in time for Psychostick’s November shows in Chicago and Milwaukee. But don’t worry if you can’t make it — we’ve got you covered!
You can look forward to roasty latte notes shredding through every luxuriant pour of this Porter, thanks to a double bass kick of Madagascar vanilla and Hexe Coffee Co. beans.
Expect syncopated hints of mocha, molasses, and marshmallow within a silky-smooth sip that finishes dry. Plus, with a 5.2% ABV, this brew ought to be absurdly approachable.
