Nothing beats kicking back and downing an entire can of Cream of Broccoli. No, I’m not talking about that Campbell’s staple you’ve got languishing in your pantry — that would be gross. I’m talking about Other Half’s 4.30 Tavour-rated DIPA!
To craft this stunner, the Brooklyn-based Haze masters started by making an absurdly soft base with oats and lactose. And they soaked it in juice with heaping helpings of Cascade, Hallertau Blanc, Mosaic, and Simcoe Hops.
Big notes of tangerine, ripe melon, and marmalade course through the luscious body. Pops of grapefruit pith and floral orange blossom accentuate the finish, totally obscuring the 7.9% ABV.
No wonder fans on the app have called it “the best IPA I have had to date,” “a damn near perfect IPA,” and “Omg soooo good!”
When you think about it, beer is just cold bread soup. And in this case, really, REALLY delicious cold bread soup. So if you wanna drink it out of a ladle with a sandwich on the side, you go right ahead.
