But today is the very first time we’ve ever gotten our hands on The Statement Lutowka. And to say we’re excited about this 4.50 UT-rated variant would be a massive understatement!
Instead of the typical Balaton cherry varietal, the artisans at Schramm’s made this unique incarnation of the iconic Melomel with Lutowka Morello-type cherries from Poland.
Those imported stone fruits should translate to a brighter, slightly acidulous fruit profile, making for a breathtaking complement to the ribbons of rich honey and jammy sweetness swirling throughout the sip.
Mead fans will be doing backflips if you open this showstopper at your next bottleshare, but even the uninitiated can appreciate such a phenomenally crafted melomel. Especially when paired with a ribeye steak or a bloomy Camembert.
