Hey, I'm Vinnie. I'm one of the writers here at Tavour.

We sat down with Vinnie to get to know the person behind the words.
What's the best concert you've been to?
When I lived in North Carolina, I saw Titus Andronicus, and they’d just cut a [record] on Merge. The show itself was really cool, but what made it really dope is that John Darnielle came out before the show and played just like a bunch of acoustic songs sitting on the stage because they were label mates and hanging out. That was rad.
What book left a big impression on you?
A lot of books. Flannery O'Connor's Wise Blood, I read in high school and I think really opened the door for me to Southern literature in a way that kind of changed the trajectory of my life.
What's your hidden talent?
(Hums)
What's your most used emoji?
Sad cowboy, which we have on our Slack channel. I use it all the time.
TVs at the bar, yes or no?
I think if you're a sports bar, yeah. Everyone else no though.
Salty or sweet snacks?
Salty.
What's your favorite cocktail?
I’m not a big cocktail guy, but I like a Negroni.
Sabro hops — yes or no?
Just in general? They can be fine. I don't know if I'd want 100% Sabro hopped beer, but they work well with other hops.
What food will you never get tired of?
Can I just say chicken? You can cook it a million different ways. You can eat chicken every day. Stupid bird. Can't even get away. (laughs)
What's your ideal drinking scenario?
I don't know. I left work and now I'm drinking? There's beer in front of me. I got friends in front of me. I'm not sure I understand the question. But I like drinking.
What makes a bar a dive?
Cheap drinks, shitty wells, sticky floors, tacky decor, dim lighting.
What's the funniest, most off-the-wall thing you've heard someone say about a beer?
Wow… I've had someone drink one of these pickled beers that we get some time and described it as “soupy.” As in, it tasted like soup? Not something I hear every day in the beer industry.
What's a part of this job you consistently enjoy?
The drinking beer at work thing is pretty cool. I mean, I feel like it's the obvious answer.
Give some unsolicited advice.
Men. Unless you're at the beach, no more flip flops, okay? I don't want to see your toes.
